Hello,

I'm new to direct admin and I have this problem that cannot find anywhere a solution. I have a server running direct admin and yesterday i made the transfer of my site (joomla) to the new server. After following the procedure correctly it keeps not to be able to write to some folders that it should. The permissions are chmod(ed) correctly at 755. The only way to read successfully is to chmod folders at 777 or 007.

Please help, thank you.

Joomla uses a built in ftp client. You shouldnt have to mess with chmods

after a day of research i managed to find a solution. the problem was as hostpc.com says. I enabled suPHP and I made some changes at httpd configuration so that direct admin can work smoothly with suPHP. I'll post the links with the solution as soon as I get back to my pc for anyone that needs them. Thank you for your replies
