Hi,

I have a problem with roundcube - not sure why after I have added a new user to directadmin, I am not able to delete e-mail on the new user email account. I can move it around but not delete, all the time I'm getting "Could not move the message(s)." - I can delete e-mails on old accounts on old user. The problem is only on the new e-mails account.

Any idea what happened to my server ?

Sounds like a permission problem. I wouldn't know where to start for that. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in any minute now.

that's what I thought but then I checked all permission and everything looks good, in IMAP directory the permission is setup to user:mail - I think that the problem starts after I upgrade the directadmin

Thanks

I don't understand how it is possible for old accounts to have email any different than newer accounts.

Email is email is email.

Ok ;) let me explain this again.

I've got a server, on this server I've got directadmin.

I've got around 70 users on directadmin, so each person (user) have an account and each account have few websites + e-mails account.

and now ! when I did last update (i think that) my server stops working correctly, basically each new user above 70 (so for example user nr. 71,72,73) is able to upload website etc. but when they create e-mails account they are not able to delete e-mails on this account via roundcube, they can send e-mail, receive, move from one folder to another but not delete.

Have you got any idea how I can fix it ?

I am having the exact same problem as: dareksbs

A solution to this issue would be nice, anyone?

What errors do you see in roundcube error/debug log? You probably need to enable logging in Roundcube to see errors. What errors do you in /var/log/maillog?

That's what I get, after I have tried to delete an e-mail :

Roundcube logs still are required for further debugging. What errors do you see in roundcube error/debug log? You need to enable logging in Roundcube to see errors.

Hmm... I don't get any logs in logs/error.

What I did I have edited /var/www/html/roundcube/config/config.inc.php

then I setup $config['debug_level'] = 1; then I checked /var/www/html/roundcube/logs/errors

and nothing new was there... debug_level to 4 and after this to 5 still the same issue.

Do you see the issue with another webmail SquirrelMail for example or Offline mail program (OutLook, TheBat)?

We don't have SquirrelMail on the server because we don't like it ;)

But I have tested it on Mozilla Thunderbird and I am able to delete all e-mails via this application without any problem.

So we have a problem with roundcube...

I have no idea how to fix it, I haven't faced the issue. All what I can suggest is either to hire somebody to investigate the issue and fix it for you or to do it yourself: compare line-by-line all related files in /etc/virtual/domain.com/ and /home/username/imap/ owned by an user for whom delete process is working fine against ones owned by an user for whom delete process fails. Compare permissions and data in MySQL DB da_roundcube. Probably something obvious is beyond our scope as of yet. If you find nothing, then you probably need to check it with roundcube community, do they know anything of it.
