Problem with temporary URL

Hi,
I need help about temporary URL on DirectAdmin please.

I try to use a temporary URL like this:
http://ip/~username/domain.com/
but it does not work. I receive a 404 error from browser.

Is there anyone that may help me please?

http://ip/~username

The above will load the default domain. So if you have multiple add-on domains, go into DA and make the one you want to preview the default domain first.

I followed your instructions and i set my domain as default domain in DA, but when i try to search http://ip/~username, i always receive a 404 error from browser.

I don't know what is the problem.

My temporary URL is http://94.198.99.142/~mediasoft/
My domain is mediasoftsolutions.eu and it is already active, but i have had problems with this temporary URL also during DNS propagation.

I don't know why...

I am able to login with this URL http://94.198.99.142:2222, but it does not work both the temporary URL http://94.198.99.142/~mediasoft/ and the URL http://www.mediasoftsolutions.eu

But i have always the problem with the temporary URL:

Is 94.198.99.142 a shared IP#, the main server IP#, or a dedicated IP#? My understanding is that you should use the shared IP#.

Also please post the output of

# ls -ald /home/mediasoft/public_html

I have a VPS and 94.198.99.142 is the main VPS IP address.

Note the # isn't typed; it's purpose is to let you know you type the command as root.

Till now all discussed above is same with me. Its a dedicated server and shared IP. I am facing same error on my server. the output of above command shows the domain/domain.com/public_html symbolic Link details

Pfff.. please don't up 11 year old posts, even if it's the same issue. So much is changed in those years. Please start a new thread for your issues.
It's nowadays defined in options.conf, userdir_access= yes or no.
