Problem with the service 'dovecot'

Hello,

My host just installed DirectAdmin latest version on my Fedora 7 box and i noticed, i been getting non stop emails with the following subject :

The service 'dovecot' on server server.domain.com is currently down

When i reported this to my host, they said 'dovecot' doesnt seems to be installed properly, re install it or something.

I have no idea how i could do that. Can someone help me figure this out? How do you fix this?

I get that from time to time too on my vps. Since the time is not kept well, I have set a cron to reset the time. When the time is set back, dovecot stops. Sometimes it restarts itself, sometimes not.

To install dovecot, I ran the following:

cd /usr/local/directadmin/customapache
./build update
./build update_dovecot
./build dovecot
service dovecot restart

Thank you very much, it did help. Small adjustment, it was "cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild" not "cd /usr/local/directadmin/customapache" for me =\

Besides that, everything worked great ty again!
