i have a very wierd problem with my FTP settings:

i create a user, then some virtual hosts, then when i create a FTP to that domain, passed some days the FTP SETTING disapair..

i don't know why this problem is happening... but's constant...

Hello,

What settings are you talking about? The anonymous ftp settings? Or the settings in the /etc/proftpd.vhosts.conf file..

John

i'm talking the NON anon settings, i just login to DA, choose a DOMAIN, go to the FTP SETTINGS, set a FTP with LOGIN, PASSWRD and TYPE of account (DOMAIN, USER, PUBLIc_HTML) and i dont know why, passed some time, ever in the same day, the accounts that where'nt the ROOT account ( /home/account ) where deleted automaticly...

Hello,

was your IP changed at all? .. It's possible that the accounts are being stored in a different ftp password file..

Check both /etc/proftpd.passwd and /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/username/ftp.passwd as the accounts might be in the one DA isn't looking in. The ftp.passwd file is used for owned IPs while proftpd.passwd is for shared ones.
