Problems with SSL Cert install

Originally, I had one of my domain names under the admin account. Since the website requires a dedicated IP for ssl, I used the move domain script and moved the domain to a user account. When I log into the user account and select SSL Certificates, I get the following error:

You can only add a certificate if you own the ip you are using

When I log in as admin and go to reseller level / ip management, it shows the new user owns the IP.

Please help.

Also, does anyone know where I can pay for urgent directadmin support? I don't really have to worry about my cpanel servers, but it seems like I'm dead in the water with DA. If I have to post to a forum and wait every time I need help (especially help that is keeping me from getting new customers, like today) I'm going to have to go to cp across the board. I purchased lifetime DA licenses which offer no support after a few months. Thanks

This thread can be deleted. Going to have to move things back to cpanel before we lose out on more business. Thanks anyways.

If you have problems you can email directadmin support. This forum is here for users helping other users. If you get no answer that means no one has the answer.

The problem is quite simple.

You first have to login as the admin user and go to ip management.

Then assign that ip to a reseller.

After you have done that you need to go to reseller level of the reseller that you have just assigned the ip and then go to ip management.

Once in ip management you can assign the ip to the end user.

Then you will be able to assign a ssl certificate.

If you do not know directadmin then maybe you should hire someone to administer your server that does know how to use it before just giving up.

Its quite funny you waited less then an hour and gave up with directadmin and want to run crying back to Cpanel.

SSL for reseller's IP

Hello,

I have a question on this issue:
I have assigned an IP to my reseller, who wants to buy an SSL certificate for his domain (the reseller's domain). He doesn't have any users for now.
At this moment, the IP is shown as "shared" under the reseller.
Can my reseller buy an SSL for his domain using the assigned IP?

Also: at this moment, the reseller's account is under the new IP and when he goes to request an SSL this message appears:
Cannot Execute Your Request
Details
You can only add a certificate if you own the ip you are using

Of course he can buy an SSL for his domain, but SSL certs can not be installed on shared IPs. He needs a dedicated (private) IP for the purpose.

Yes, I figured that out yesterday but I forgot to write how this was solved.

I assigned the reseller back to the server's shared IP, then
I freed the new IP and then I assigned the reseller's domain back to the new IP.
My mistake was that the first time I checked the "shared IP" option, and I shouldn't.

Anyway, the reseller has now his own IP with SSL.
