Proftpd and .htaccess

anyone know how to hide configuration files in proftpd like .htaccess?

ive googled it and im supposed to remove "ListOptions -A" from /etc/proftpd.conf but its not in there to start with

Just add it to the conf file.

Ive tried that under the <global> options, restarted proftpd and i can still see .htaccess folders and files.

What ftp client are you using?

ListOptions "+a"

in the Global section, then restart proftpd, should hide .htaccess files
