proftpd can not start after install

Debian 7 64Bit

proftpd can not start after install, missing dir /var/run/proftpd I create so and so starts proftpd
if I make a change then it is deleted dir again and ftp will not start.

/usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/configure/proftpd/conf/proftpd.conf

/usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/configure/proftpd/configure.proftpd

Starting proftpd: proftpd[1697]: warning: handling possibly truncated configuration data at line 93 of '/etc/proftpd.conf'
proftpd[1697]: warning: unable to include '/etc/proftpd.vhosts.conf': No such file or directory

A new init.d script should solve the problem, because it creates /var/run/proftpd directory when starting the server. Thank you for the report.

I have updated to the latest versions and again I have this problem, I have to manually create /run/proftpd/
