proftpd dead but subsys locked

Proftpd en Dovecot dont start anymore after a IP switch.
The server is running FreeBSD 7.0
Dovecot gives te same, with netstat there is no process from ProFTPD.


I get the following errors.

[root@server01 ~]# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/proftpd status
proftpd dead but subsys locked
[root@server01 ~]# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/proftpd restart
Shutting down proftpd: [ FAILED ]
Starting proftpd: [ OK ]

Solved the problem, the virt... host file had wrong entries and deleted the records and everything went fine.
