proftpd errors after update

i updated to proftpd 1.3.1 and i get the following error when restarting the server

- warning: the DisplayFirstChdir directive is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Please use the DisplayChdir directive.

any ideas?

Can you give us more information, which OS you are using, i386 or x86_64 etc? Then we can check if we know the problem.

In your proftpd.conf (usually /etc/proftpd.conf) you should have a line beginning with DisplayFirstChdir, just replace this with DisplayChdir.

The DisplayFirstChdir directive configures an ASCII text filename which will be displayed to the user the first time they change into a directory (via CWD) per a given session.
