ProFTPd / FreeBSD ftpd Remote Root

Do you use freebsd?

If its really an official exploit then proftpd would have to be patched to fix it.

I dont believe it...but someone could verify its indeed an exploit by testing in a non production environment.

Directadmin really has nothing to do with it...proftpd runs along side da.

If its a bug it would infect every freebsd box with proftpd installed.

Also claims it was tested on "proftpd 1.3.3a" which isnt even the current version.
