Hello,

I have actually two servers with DA installed on it with the multi-server mode activated.
My problem is that proftpd constantly crashes on the second server.
I tried several times to restart it, without success...
When i look up in the /var/log/directadmin/error.log file, i see that:
Code:
2007:01:18-12:13:51: Error changing ftp password for admin: That user doesn't exist<br>

2007:01:18-14:28:53: Socket write error: fd is connected to a pipe or socket whose reading end is closed. When this happens the writing process will a
lso receive a SIG_PIPE signal. (Thus, the write return value is seen only if the program catches, blocks or ignores this signal.)
2007:01:18-14:28:53: Error while sending ./data/skins/enhanced/images/header.gif
But when i look in the proftpd.passwd, i see mu user admin with the crypted password.
And even when i try to start proftpd manually, i get this error message:
Code:
Starting proftpd: - IPv4 getaddrinfo 'web002a.mydomain.com' error: Name or service not known
 - warning: unable to determine IP address of 'web002a.mydomain.com'
 - error: no valid servers configured
 - Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd.conf'
That doesn't seem to be the same problem..
Where does the error come from??

Are you trying to do anything besides DNS with Multi Server mode? Unless I'm mistaken Multi Server mode only works for DNS.

Jeff

a complete reboot of the server was usefull in order to fix it..
I don't really know why, but it works!
