Protected Directories

The feature "Protected Directories" works via .htaccess files.

Unfortunately it overwrites existing .htaccess content (e.g. "Options +Indexes") instead of appending the Auth* entries.

Protect your directories via DirectAdmin and then edit the resultng .htaccess file to add the directives you wish

I do it currently this way, too.
But you have to make a backup of your custom data in case the user changes something over da.
