Greetings ...

I am sure this is a stupid question for all of you advanced users, but ...

How do I get my files in my /public_html folder out to the site? I used ftp in dreamweaver to get them there ... I can see them, but not put them on the site for the rest of the world to see. I get a 403 and 404 error when visiting the url ... I sent a temp page out of publisher and it showed up in the same place and was out on the site until I deleted it in preparation for what I was building in Dreamweaver.

I am sure I have no idea what I am doing ... any ideas?

anyone? anyone? ... .... anyone?

Well you haven't told us the name of any of the files, or the name of your site, so it's impossible for us to tell what the problem may be.

You need to use Dreamweaver (or something else) to upload pages to the public_html directory on your site.

Depending on the name of your main index file you may have to delete the index.html file that's already there.

Note this really isn't a DirectAdmin issue.

Hello

Wondering if anyone could help with this,

I am trying to help a friend out who has this error

(The requested URL / was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/2 Server at www.umayaesthetics.com Port 80)

I introduced her to cyberduck for her ftp, but she seems to have moved the files around the Public_html folder out of cyberduck. (domains/maildir/imap etc)
(ftp.umayaesthetics.com is how she is conncting)

Is there a way she can re-set the root directory of her domain within direct admin.

I would really appreciate the some help with this,

Many thanks in advance

You're losing me. What does public_html have to do with imap? The site is no longer giving the error so I presume you've done something.

However to answer your question, you can only make changes to either your http root directory (public_html) or your main site directory (/home/username/) if you're the server administrator, so unless you are, contact the hosting provider.
