Hi,
I thought this was the definition of purge email: Purging email is when the messages you have marked for removal by the delete command are erased from the server or your local computer drive. Once email is purged it cannot be recovered. Be sure you have archived or do not need any messages marked for deletion before you issue the purge command.
(http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/displa...text=Definition,purged it cannot be recovered)

So, purging inbox would mean: Delete all mails that were actually already trashed. But it doesn't, at least in DirectAdmin it doesn', it just 'deletes all mails' as I would call it. Has it always been this way? Or not before this feature was added https://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=794? From this day purging inbox wasn't deleting trashed mails anymore but deleting all mails, 'because' trashed items were regarded as being spam from then?
Seems like there's more misunderstanding about what purging email in DirectAdmin actually is (https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/user-level-purge-from-spambox-imap-folders-inbox-broken.35623/ https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/mail-oder-then-2-months-not-visible.63697/)
Regards,
Paul
