I have some problem with my datacenter.

My first old machine run an Centos version from year 2006.

its an dual single core 3.2 Ghz Xeon with 2 gb of ram.

Now to my problem, I will throw the server. I will include this one in to an Esx server.

I tryed to take a copy of the whole system by admin login. But the problem been when i want to include the system in to my new server with Ubuntu in an ESX server.

The rights on the files are corrupt. So my pinion is the Centos will not goes to include in the Debian system. So my Question to you if i can install a new Centos machine in my Big ESX datacenter. And then i will try to copy the whole admin backup to that server?

I have a lot of people on my webserver about 500 customer. So i dont want them to be down when i will do this to work!

So the big Question to you there out is will this work to do an Centos to Centos, or can you any trix to include the Whole Centos to my Ubuntu server that i have more space for the customer?

If you're using DirectAdmin simply create an Admin level Reseller backup for all resellers, and restore it to the Debian server.

If you're not using DirectAdmin, then you're asking at the wrong forum. We're a forum for DirectAdmin users.
