Hello,
I have a question about my infrastructure. Currently, I have several cPanel servers in a cluster controlled by two DNS servers, ns1 and ns2, with cPanel DNSOnly. My intention is to gradually migrate all the accounts to DirectAdmin without downtime. How can I manage the dns cluster? Do you suggest adding two more DNS servers, ns3 and ns4, to manage the DirectAdmin servers? Also, how do I manage the DirectAdmin DNS clusters for redundancy?

Hello,

DirectAdmin offers MultiServer DNS, and you can built a DNS cluster using the DirectAdmin native feature. Since you have several servers, it should NOT be an issue.

Beside that you might use a 3rd party solution DirectSlave (can be found on these forums) and run it for DNS slaves. I've never tried it by myself, so can not guarantee anything here.

You might refer to the docs page for more details:

The page describes:

- How the MultiServer DNS clustering works in DirectAdmin
- How to add a 3rd nameserver (ns3) - you can use it for adding ns4 as well

and other topics related to DNS in DirectAdmin.
