Hi there,

I'm running Proxmox nodes with ZFS, and utilising LXC for DA guests. Naturally, quota doesn't work as ZFS doesn't support quota through LXCs.

I started looking into a manual style quota so I can still manage file usage for users, and came across https://docs.directadmin.com/operat...-quotas-i-d-like-a-manual-count-of-user-files. ("My file system does not support quotas. I'd like a manual count of User files.").

I've followed suggestions to get repquota2 successfully giving me a user tally. However, I'd like to implement this into DA's user tally, so users/resellers/admins can see user tally from the UI. I'm not sure where to start. If anyone has any pointers, that'd be great!

As an example of the messed up quota-
looking at X user in DA under "all users", I see the following: 100.5 MB / 5 GB
looking at the domain usage of X user in DA, I see the following: 1.11 GB / shared
looking at disk usage details for user X, I see the following: MySQL Databases 100.47 MB
looking at disk usage -> system quotas for user X, I see the following: /home/userX/Maildir 1.96 MB /home/userX/domains/userX.com.au 1.11 GB /home/userX/imap 2.82 GB
looking at repquota2 for user X, I see the following: 6831635 (6.5GB).

As you can see- the discrepancies are mind boggling! So many different reports, for one user!

Thanks in advance,
Jarrod.

Came here looking for similar reports, yours is the only one I located. I've opened a ticket about it though not in quite as much detail. For my ticket, I'm focusing on accounts being reported well over quota when they are in fact well under it, while using repquota2. Hopefully I get information I can bring back here.

Did you guys manage to find a better solution to this issue ? I am also in the same boat now.
For me I had defined multiple home directories in my directadmin.conf file, where I had symlinks causing multiple counting for each user. Adjusting that was my fix.
