Rails 3 with Passenger

I have one DirectAdmin server with Apache 2. One client needs to host a Rails 3 application, I would know if ther is any plugin to include rails 3 with passenger in the server. I saw a DA Rails plugin but it seems to be discontinued.

If I perform a manual installation of Rails and Passenger, could appear some problems when upgrading custombuild?
