RapidWeaver publish not going to specified folder

This is a new hosting site for me, but I have published various pages both here and to other sites before, and they've worked fine. And I've been using RapidWeaver for a couple of years.

For this new page, I specified the folder as /LP/find-out-how and the file name as index.html.

Publishing seemed to go okay, but when it had finished, there's no page at:

www.reducestressnow.net/LP/find-out-how

The Direct Admin panel shows no folder LP in public_html. but there was a brand-new index.html page there which turned out to be my just published page at the root level.

Is there a problem using capital letters in folder names that I don't know about. I've used this folder name /LP/ at another side in the past.

So what am I doing wrong? Do I have to create folder /LP before using it? Why didn't my published page go to the folder I wanted? Help!

Your questions are good ones, but they need to be answered by someone who understands RapidWeaver. Neither Linux nor DirectAdmin care about upper-case characters, though they do treat them as upper-case, and as different from lower-case. Does RapidWeaver need you to specify:
Code:
LP/find-out-how
(without the leading / character)?

Or even:
Code:
LP/find-out-how/
(with a trailing / character)?

Do you need the complete path:
Code:
domains/EXAMPLE.COM/public_html/LP/find-out-how
(with of course EXAMPLE.COM replaced by your domain name in lower case)?

Unless someone here has experience specifically with RapidWeaver you[ll probably get a better response from someone who supports it. It's not a DirectAdmin issue.

You may be able to get help from your hosting company as they can check the ftp logs.

It's indeed not a Linux issue

Thanks Jeff,

I thought that the link I had clicked was for help from my hosting company!

I was a bit surprised to see that I needed to register for a forum, guess I now know why...

It's indeed not a Linux issue, and I'll chase them.

appreciate your help
Cris

Your page seems to come up now, but it took a long time for me.
