Re-install issues

We had to re-install direct admin after a hack.

When we attempt to associate the domain
in the domain name control panel the software reports that the domain name already exists.

We have a tremendous amount of data in the data base from the original install and did not overwrite the data base during the re-install.

What steps should we take?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The domain is already in use comes from it checking named.conf for the domain existing.
