I have a situation where creating a new user takes 20-40 minutes. It's not a server resource issue but what I've got going on is probably also not very standard.
What's abnormal? I have a user that has 764 domain pointers. And this is likely contributing to the issue.
Here's the feedback that was provided to me by Alex (Poralix).... Any help from the DA team on this would be appreciated.
On a new user creation a script /usr/sbin/clwpos_collect_information.py is triggered. It takes around 20 minutes for the script to complete. The possible reason of its slowness is the number of domains hosted on the server. Aliases, forwarders and parked domains are also counted. There are 764 domains under user parking.
There may be a bug in CloudLinux 9 or in a DirectAdmin integration. CloudLinux support team might need to be informed on the matter.
I'm currently in the process of restoring 18 user accounts to a server and it's been running for 7 hours while it churns through.
I will also open a ticket with CloudLinux
