Hey there,
I am a complete noob at this, so its a complete new world for me.

I have created a email adress since i launched my own website last night..(yeahhh), i followed the rules and had read the settings to setting up the POP3 settings in MS Outlook.

But im getting a litl bit frustrated because, i can send mail with MS Outlook, but i dont receive it, and when i look in " filemanager" >IMAP and than in maildir. new map, that map is full with all the test mails i sended to check if i can receive mail in my inbox in MS outlook...how do they go out of that map, and how to receive them in my inbox in MS Outlook.

What is it i am doing wrong?

These are my settings

Name: fr33styler-photographics
Email adress: [email protected]

Username :*******
Password : ******

Incomming (POP3): mail.fr33styler-photographics.nl
Outgoing SMTP: Here i tryed all of them.. mail.fr33styler-photographics.nl and also my ISP that's mail.home.nl, also tryed smtp.ziggo.nl<< thats sinds Ziggo took over @home.

Also have selected the option ,The SMTP authorization login name / password is the same as your POP3 account login name / password.
I also did..

Incomming port is 110
Outgoing port is 25

Please help,

Im sorry for the bad englisch in some lines, but thats because im Dutch:o

Friendly regards
Rick.

You have contradicted yourself.

i can send mail with MS Outlook, but i dont receive it

Then you said:

Outgoing SMTP: Here i tryed all of them.. mail.fr33styler-photographics.nl and also my ISP that's mail.home.nl, also tryed smtp.ziggo.nl<< thats sinds Ziggo took over @home.

If you can send email then why are you changing the setting for the outgoing server?

So the question remains: Can you not send or receive?

Hi,

I can send mail with my new email ([email protected]), but i dont receive the mail in inbox, it stays in the IMAP map where i host my site.. (well, trying to..lol), but first i wanted to setting up my email.

You are correct, dont know why i changed the outgoing SMTP ..

Make sure you are using a exim.conf and exim.pl file written for mbox and not maildir. You should probably update to dovecot it is way better.
