Recompile PHP with Suhosin

If I wanted to recompile php with Suhosin, what considerations should be made before performing this action? Could this break (some) applications?

When I perform this action, will my system be the same (with the exception of the added Suhosin module)? I take that all domains and its data will stay the same? Nothing will be lost? (Though making a full backup won't hurt before starting this.)

Hello,

Normally suhosin extension is good enough. And it does not require a patched PHP. You may install suhosin manually or with CB 2.0. Just keep in mind to disable session and cookie crypting as it breaks a lot of known CMS.
