Redirect added domain names to main domain?

If I have a customer that have multiple domain names that need to redirect to his main domain name (for SEO purpose)
if they do the redirect in DirectAdmin they get this:

Code: 
Redirect 301 / http://www.themaindomain.com

Is this mean that both www and non-www version of the add-on domain will be redirect to the main domain?
 
Everything that points to that folder will be redirected there
