Renew an SSL Cert

Hi,

I think I am being stupid!

What is the process to renew an SSL cert in DA?

We resell Geotrust Certs through OpenSRS.

The OpenSRS interface gives us the option to renew. Following renewal we are sent a new certificate but when I paste this into DA below the RSA key and over the existing cert, an error is generated. So I am assume I am doing something totally wrong.

I am confused as the renewal process did not ask for a CSR so I thought I could just paste in the new cert

Ideas please!

error using key: error:0B080074:x509 certificate routines:X509_check_private_key:key values mismatch

The certificate and key do not match. Please ensure you are using the correct key with this certificate
 
I am using the existing RSA Private Key and just simply pasted the new cert over the old cert.

I guess this is wrong!
 
You'll have to contact OpenSRS; I've never heard of a renewal process that didn't require a new CSR (and therefore a new Key).

We've been renewing certs for many years, and we've always treated renewals like new orders.
