i installed for test on a new vps i have access to the terminal as root from my vps provider, any way to reset the user and pass from there? cant remember the credentials.

you can reset pass for DA panel from there, then go to DA panel and there update pass again (so it be for DA, PhpMyadmin, FTP too)
just as root type:
passwd USERNAME
and repeat twice new pass
