Error connecting to MySQL: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client


I am getting this error when restoring any of my domain name that happends right after I've installed Centos Os 4.0 I am trying to restore all my sites and getting that above error ?

Please help

You might try recompiling php to use the new external MySQL libraries in reference with: http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=466

In addition to jmstacey you should also look here; http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/old-client.html

Probably doing this for the localhost property in your mysql.hosts table would do the trick (for all databases).
