Tried to restore an user account and had this :
Code:
Unable to restore database someuser_data.sql to someuser_data : ERROR 2049 (HY000): Connection using old (pre-4.1.1) authentication protocol refused (client option 'secure_auth' enabled)
Never had this before, centos 6 with newest version DA, when the restore fails I get an email with :
Code:
lfd on srv1.domain.com: Account modification alert
Time: Fri Dec 4 14:18:33 2020 +0100
Reported Modifications:
Account [someuser] password has changed
Totally lost !

Hi @bdaccount yes i did see that page but the weird thing is we didn't change anything on this server.
Nor any mysql update is done

EDIT: its getting odd now, restoring as ADMIN goes well but as RESELLER give this error!
On this system RESELLER and ADMIN are the same, in other words , we don't have any resellers on this server

Humm weird.. Have to tried adding it to a box with more current OS?

i didnt check this with other centos 7 and 8 boxes
I will give it a try but as admin can restore yhen it isnt an case of older software I assume
