Restoring a full backup - admin

I needed to swap out the hard drive my server was running on, and created a full backup and downloaded it...

i have uploaded the backup directory, now how do i go about restoring the entire thing?

users and all?

There is no restore function for the entire system backup yet.

Restoring would just be extracting the tar.gz files in their designated location.

I'm working on a restore now; it'll probably take a while because I'm unpacking a 9 gig tarball.

(Normally I wouldn't make one large tarball.)

But by some time tomorrow I should know (a) if the restore worked, and (b) how long it took.
