I'm transferring sites to another server.
Source server has user admin and user justaname.
On the target server I all ready successfully imported user admin.
I don't want to create an extra user "justaname", but the sites of user justaname imported in user admin.

Is it just as simple as to rename user.admin.justaname.tar.gz to admin.root.admin.tar.gz? (and updating the mysql usernames in the site settings file)

Normally yes. Make a backup of the current admin account, place it somewhere else and then just try.

Great!
I stated that the import was successful (for the original admin.root.admin.tar.gz), but I just found out that no dns entries were made for this domain. Everything else seems ok.

Hmmz.. that's odd. You could try to use the reset option for DNS entries or copy them manually from the other server.

Other option, restore original way (so as user) and then just move the domain to the admin account, might be even faster and more trustworthy.
And then delete the user afterwards.
