Hi all,

I'm trying to create a backup server to be able to kick in in case server 1 goes down.
On both servers I've got the same OS (Debian) and DA.

Now I want to create all users on server 2 (the backup server), so I made a User backup from the Reseller panel on server 1 and transferred the tarballs to server 2 (~admin/user_backups).

Now when I go to the Reseller panel on server 2 I go to "Manage User backups". Then in the "Restore Backup" pane I select Local in step 1, then at step 2 I select "Use the IP from the list", and in step 3 I select a couple of the tarballs as a test.

When I submit this restore job DA tells me the job has been added to the task queue, but nothing happens really.
The users aren't created and no files are untarred. I kept an eye on the process with top right after I submitted the job, but nothing gets executed from DA.

I also checked all the logs, but I see nothing that has anything to do with the restore job.

Any ideas?

Ruben.

Thanks John, that did the trick.

It's pretty embarrassing, but crond just wasn't running, because of some dependency that failed. I fixed that now and the Restore process runs like a charm. :)

Ruben.
