Hello,

I'm currently moving about 40 accounts from 1 DirectAdmin server, to another. The new DirectAdmin server is a fresh install, the version matches the old DirectAdmin server.

I'm running a userbackup on reseller level per account that has to be moved, ftp that backup to the new server and try to restore it there on resellerlevel.

This should work, but I keep on ending up with the following message in messagesystem:

Domain <domain1>.nl Created

Domain Created Successfully

Domain <domain2>.nl Created

Domain Created Successfully

Error connecting to MySQL: Access denied for user 'da_admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
<b>Repair guide: <a target=_blank href='http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=45'>http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=45</a></b>

Of course I've checked the guide and tried to reset the da_admin password to different values (the password in the setup.txt on the new server, a completely new password and the password in the setup.txt on the old server), all to no avail. I AM able to connect to MySQL with each new password through the commandline, though.

Does anyone know where it's going wrong? Does the restore function not respect the setup.txt file or is it something with the backupformat?

Thanks in advance!

Does the restore function not respect the setup.txt

setup.txt is the result of the original install of DA. It is not used after that except for your own reference of what was done.

So the answer is no and neither does anything else.

Pretty scary news.. Please tell, did you resolve it? and how
in CPanel it takes few minutes - how is is in the DA?
::scared::

Are you sure you posted in the right thread? I cannot make any sense of your post.
