My server did not crash,

It runs fine ;) But I like to have a procedure ready when it fails.

What is the procedure when restoring the full backup?

Installing was done by:
1- Install Debian
2- Run the setup.sh script
3- Done.

Can I just untar the entire backup after this? or.......

Thank you,

Plark

If you're using a sysbk backup, then as long as you restore to the same OS distribution, raw, before making any changes at all, and as long as you restore each directory to where it belongs (sysbk doesn't maintain the directory tree structure), you should be able to just untar each directory where it belongs.

Though we recommend (and perform) intelligent restore.
