Reverse DNS entries for MX records

Hi

i was wondering about email servers and started to check my owns out, using www.dnstuff.com and taking the domain:
fast-xs.net, or follow this link

http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=fast-xs.net
it will give me a pretty good result, minus the one failure
of "Reverse DNS entries for MX records",

i would like to solve this, but first i would like to know if this does really affect any mail from or to my clients mail adresses. if so ..

is this difficult to solve .. i am pretty tecnical but havent yet eaten of email servers ..

can anyone help me a hand here

It will definitely affect mail delivery.

You probably can't fix it yourself.

Unless you have a full Class C IP allocation or more (and perhaps even if you do), your upstream provider probably has to do your reverse IP setup for you. Either that, or they have to allocate it to your server so you can do it.

Ask your upstream connectivity provider.

You need to have a reverse DNS (PTR) record for mail.nexolinehosting.com.

Generallly your upstream connectivity provider will either create a PTR record for you, or will pass on authority to you for you to host it on your own server. You need to contact your upstream connectiivity provider.

Only if your upstream provider assigns authority to you.

According to DNS records, the authority is now with velcom.com; they'd have to either do the reverse DNS for you or assign the authority to you. Generally upstream providers only delegate authority if you have an entire C Class though there are exceptions.
