Hi,

I've question regarding proper dns config.

I've subdomain at my provider server - xxx.com , which is mydomain.xxx.com
Then i've bought mydomain.com and set dns to my server.

In dns config of mydomain.xxx.com i've ns adresses set to ns1.mydomain.xxx.com and ns1.mydomain.xxx.com

When i've added mydomain.com to my directadmin panel, both ns adresses point to mydomain.xxx.com.

I'm trying to setup reverse dns address.
I've added to mydomain.com PTR record 1.2.3.4.in-addr.arpa. - mydomain.com, but while checking reverse dns i'm getting 1.2.3.4.in-addr.apra. - mydomain.xxx.com.

Is it correct or if not, how can i fix it?

Likely your provider sets DNS for you and you'll need to notify them to change rDNS. You can only set it if your provider authorizes it for you, and generally the providers only do that if you have an entire subnet with them (and often not even then).
