hello,

I have a question:
I have linksys WRT54G router and my server is behind the router.
Wil it work on this router i have 2 mode's:
Interface:
LAN & Wireless
WAN (Internet)
in the router config bud if i do it on WAN wat wil happen can i still on internet than and wil directadmin work on my server???
(os: linux debian)

I am afraid not.
your server will have an internal IP (which does not equal to the IP in your license) if it's behind a router, right?
 
Bud in very much post you see:
i wil not work wif a NAT/LAN-system i have a WAN system
 
I would think if you have a dedicated IP from your ISP (applies to the WAN part) then you could simply add a port forward in the router to your servers internal IP and it should work.

Some ISPs do not look kindly to you hosting a server on a DSL/cable connection though. Not to mention it will not be very fast.

As far as DA it is bound to an IP address so like I said you will have to have a dedicated IP from your ISP.
 
It does not work with port forwarding as far as my understanding goes. The machine actually has to hold the IP address on one of its interfaces.

Setting the machine up as a router and assigning it the IP address would solve this. Alternativly purchasing a range and assingning an external IP to each machine you want visable and another internal router to put others onto a private range
