I've been encouraging my users to take regular backups. Don't want then taking up their webspace with backups so I'm suggesting they save to their PC.
System all seems very straightforward, except for the bit where they try to save to their own PC. The Help pages say to navigate to the backup file using File Manager, click the backup file, and that will allow you to save it to your PC.
However, when I do that, instead of getting the option to save the file it opens in IE as a huge page of gibberish that locks up and eventually crashes IE.
The demodemo tutorial I have shows it slightly differently than it actually happens, in that the file isn't listed where it's shown in THIS screenie when I do it ...
I can save it by ftp ok but a lot of my users don't use ftp and stick to the File Manager - I'd prefer to let them stick with that too for consistency.
Can someone tell me how to save the backup file to a PC without ftp?
Thanks
