I recently setup a cloud server on the Hetzner platform, and now DirectAdmin is saying I am subject to a brute force attack. Hetzner has its own firewall, but does DirectAdmin also have a firewall? If so, which should I be using?

Mostly the DA firewall.

In the Hetzner firewall you can only enter 10 rules from which 1 must be the access rule so in fact 9 custom rules.
Brute force attack could be taken place at a range of ports.

Best is to use the DA firewall.
You could however additionally block some ASN's through the Hetzner firewall or allow only certain ip's to your SSH port.
We mostly use the Hetzner firewall to block certain Chinese and Russion ranges which were attacking often and some from USA and Brazil.

But limiting SSH to certain ip can also easily be done from the CSF/LFD (which DA has) firewall.
Next to that, it's smart to change the default SSH port to another port above 1024 anyway.
