Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some guidance on the best possible configuration for my current setup. Here’s a bit more context to help you understand my situation:

My Setup:

  • Operating System: Debian 11
  • Control Panel: DirectAdmin
  • Web Server: LiteSpeed (licensed for 2 workers, unlimited domains)
Business Context:I run a small business and have a few clients for whom I create websites, primarily using WordPress and Magento. I’m aiming to set up a small web hosting environment to host these customer websites. Given the components I’m using, I want to ensure that my configuration is optimized for performance, security, and stability.

I’d love to hear your recommendations and advice on the following aspects:

  1. LiteSpeed Configuration:
    • What are the best practices for configuring LiteSpeed with 2 workers?
    • Are there specific settings or tweaks to maximize performance, especially considering multiple domains and varied CMSs like WordPress and Magento?
  2. DirectAdmin Setup:
    • Any specific modules or plugins you recommend for better management and security?
    • Tips on integrating DirectAdmin smoothly with LiteSpeed.
  3. Security Measures:
    • What security configurations would you suggest for this setup?
    • Best practices for firewall, DDoS protection, and malware scanning.
  4. Performance Optimization:
    • How can I ensure optimal performance with my current license constraints (2 workers)?
    • Recommendations for caching mechanisms, database optimization, and other performance-enhancing strategies, especially for WordPress and Magento sites.
  5. Backup and Recovery:
    • Suggestions on reliable backup strategies and tools compatible with this setup.
My goal is to create a reliable and efficient hosting environment for my clients’ websites. Any insights, tips, or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
