Is there any way of disabling certain control panel options for user-level users? I'd like to give my users access to control panel, but not all the fuctions. Thanks.

As far as I know the only option is to create a new skin without those options. About actually disabling them I don't know, bare in mind that creating a skin without those options will keep the novice user from accessing them, but someone who knows the direct URL's can access them.

Can someone confirm if this is the case?

Also, if this is indeed the case, is there anyway of disabling shell access totally for users? Obviously if I don't tell them that it's located at http://www._____.com:2222 then they won't know about it, but for those who happen to know about ":2222" extension, how can I make sure they can't get into control panel at all?

THanks.

The only options that can be enabled/disabled like that are in the packages page or when creating a custom package for a user.

You could change their password for DirectAdmin, but if they ask about it...

Is there any way of setting a different shell password for a user than their ftp password?

As far as I know the shell password is the same as the password for your DA account (unix key) and the FTP password can be changed seperate from the DA account by changing it in the FTP Management section.
