Sending email (only with IMAP) through SMTP server fails

Hi all,

I've got a strange problem, somehow I can't send e-mail through my SMTP server when authenticating as [email protected]. This only happens when the email account uses IMAP, it works fine (receiving and sending email) with POP3.

Can anyone point me in the direction of how to debug/find a way to fix this problem?

I'm using the latest exim.conf file (January 2011 I believe).

It only seems to happen in Windows Live Mail.. so it's probably a security thing, still trying to figure out what exactly.

What error do you get. Make sure the firewall isnt blocking the port. Check the logs.
