Hello,
We have number of domains on the same server with DirectAdmin, one domain (e.g. www.example01.com) belongs to a client and they have a SBS (Small Business Server) in their office therefore their MX record is pointing to their own mail server server rather than locally however when we try and e-mail them as we are on the same server with DirectAdmin the mail delivery is automatically treated as local delivery therefore it comes back with the error message below from System Administrator despite the MX record pointing to a external address (I have removed personal information from message):
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
550 "Unknown User"
Please advise on what needs to be done in order to avoid this happening as it is most likely that we will have number of other domains which will require MX record pointing away from the same server holding the DNS information.
I look forward in hearing back from you.
Regards
NITS
