it would be useful to make possible to turn sendmail (exim) off for some accounts in Admin Panel for some reasons:

1. Necessity

2. sendmail could be added as payable option, like php or cgi

3. possibility to give a customer a test period free of charge
(and disable him to spam through the server)

last option especialy is very useful

Any suggestions from DA's support and others?

Let's call it exim, since that's what it is.

I'm not sure what you want to do...

Do you want to turn off

1) email receiving, so the domains can't get email?

2) email sending by people outside your server, who might use your server to send email?

3) email sending by people using a script on your server to send email?

The first is easy; just set the MX record to 127.0.0.1.

The second is quite a bit harder; you can't easily turn off authenticated email on a domain by domain basis. I'm sure it can be done, but it would require some study of exim documentation to figure it out.

The third may not be possible. If it is, it would require a bit of study of the exim documentation.

You might want to ask the question on the exim-users mailing list.

We only need turn-off|on option for sendmail in Admin Panel (User Packages) like turn-off|on option for php, cgi,dns control

This is for disable users to spam through the server (by mail function in PHP for exp... mail it is link to sendmail)

I don't see any way to do it, but as I mentioned earlier, check with the folk on exim-users; they have quite a bit more experience than I do, and exim's author hangs out there as well.

But expect to have your post ignored if you insist on calling it "sendmail" because it's not; it's exim.

The best way to do it is probably to limit the amount of messages that can be sent in a given time period, if that's possible. Otherwise you'll eliminate the ability to use forms of almost any kind.
