Hi all,

I've read a few articles but is not clear yet to me if it is possible to have exim on a separate server.
What I want to achieve is the following:

1 DNS master & slave on cluster
2 Apache on a different server
3 MySQL on a different server
4. Exim on a different server

1,2,3 can be easily achieved with DA but I'm not sure about the 4th?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi there,
Have you found a tutorial for this setup?
Maybe this could help:

I am trying to migrate from my only Cpanel dedicated server and split all services on different VPS like you suggest. Thant way you could scale and add more servers for every service.

But in my case I think it is better to use two VPS with DA and use them as NS1/NS2 masters and then add more servers as slaves.
Then If I need more servers I could add more slaves to this two nameservers (ns1/ns2).

Tell me please if I am wrong, I am trying to learn how is the best way to achieve this.

Thanks in advance and good luck!

Not sure what you mean by easy.. One man's easy is another man's hard. ;) Natively DA is not HA or cluster-aware that I have ever heard or seen. I am sure it could be done. The only cluster-aware hosting software currently I think is InterWorx. The only native separated system I ever used was Hsphere. It was way ahead of its time IMHO and was killed off by Parallels. The only bad thing about Hsphere is it was Java-based.
