Hi,

Well, before you guys tell me to search the forums and that kind of quick-reply's: I've searched the forum, run up to some topics that describe's my problem but no cure/fix

The problem is,
The backups, stats and the quotum check dont update anymore, i think this is because the cronjobs dont work anymore but im not sure because im a total noob in these things

And what makes the problem worse, is that because the lack of functionaly, backups and stats dont work anymore my customers are complaining and want the functions to work again

Because i needed to come up with a fix real fast, i bought a complete new server that needs to replace the old one.

But now i need to migrate all customers to the new server, and to do it manually its just too complicated because of the passwords my customers have created for pop accounts, databases ect.

My question is, how can i debug the problem on the old server, and hopefully fix it, or what files do i need to backup manually so when i upload that to new server, the accounts and passwords are the same that is on old server?

If you guys need more information please let me know, i am with my hands in my hair at the moment because i have only 8 days left on my licence and dont want to waste bucks on a second licence i dont really need.

Thanks in advance!

For a newbie I'd suggest the following:

1) create all the resellers, with all their settings, manually, on the new server.

2) Log in as each reseller and do a backup of all the users from the reseller control panel.

3) ftp those files to the proper location on the new server.

4) restore each reseller backup on the new server.

There are instructions available for every DirectAdmin function by clicking on help in your DirectAdmin control panel, once you've navigated to the proper page.

If after reading this, and those help pages, you still don't feel comfortable doing this, then you may want to hire an experienced administrator who can do it for you.

Well like i said, i cant create a backup from the controlpanel, because it adds the backup to the cronjob. and since the cronjob doesnt run anymore .. its difficult. Any other suggestions?

Are you sure you're using a DirectAdmin based server? Both the DirectAdmin backups at admin level, and the reseller level backup, all have a setting to do the backups immediately, and the user level backup automatically works immediately.

If you're not using DirectAdmin then you're on the wrong forum.
