server quit without updating PID file

i save this configuration for my.cnf :

but after restart mysql

server.pid deleted and ERROR! The server quit without updating PID file (/var/lib/mysql/server.pid).


what can i do?

Hello,

run as root in SSH

mv /etc/my.cnf  /etc/my.cnf.moved

and restart mysql.

You did not specify your MySQL version, and my.cnf might have unsupported directives.

But of course you'll likely need a customized my.cnf file so you may need to search these forums for instructions on where to find and how to customize a my.cnf file.
