my customer have a script that send our sms message to cell phone however it say the message is from [email protected] and not [email protected]

i believe it is because of this http://admin.site-helper.com/settings.html

"he Server's Name should be based on the primary domain of the server. E.g. server5.hostingcompany.com, server.garys-site.com, etc. This name must resolve. It must not match any domain on your server that you plan on using. For example, this value should not be site-helper.com, but server.site-helper.com is ok."

he believe the server override his script with my domain. is it his script problem or is there a way to set it in DirectAdmin for the server to send in his domain and mine or not to override his setting?

thank

I'm not sure how SMS works, so this is a generic response.

What you call [email protected] is referring to the username at the server hostname.

I doubt your server is overriding anything; I'd bet it's simply using your server hostname.

There may or may not be a way his program can override that when sending an SMS message; I really don't know.
