Server's Hostname + Same Domain + DNS ???

Hello, I am new to DA, just got it installed...

but...

I bought somedomain.com via godaddy, but I want to use my own DNS server, also my hostname is somedomain.com but I cant create same domain name via user panel... it says they cant match...

what to do?

Do not name your server hostname the same as a domain you plan on adding to the server.

Make the hostname something like server.mydomain.com

If you have set DNS control on the domain name, you can login and create a 'A' record for the name you set for the hostname.

server.mydomain.com

Create a A record set the name for it as server and the main IP of the server.

Then get your provider to set Reverse DNS for your server hostname as it is required when you send email.
