Set domain pointer's email to external server?

i have a couple of domain pointers that i need to point to an external email provider. the mx records are all configured, so everything works from the outside world. a problem occurs when the server tries to send email to these domains because it still thinks email is on the local machine.

i've configured many domains to relay to external servers, but for some reason can't figure how to set this up for a domain pointer. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, that doesn't work for a domain pointer though. Perhaps this is a missing feature in DirectAdmin? Here is the message I receive if I manually type in the domain into the URL:

Cannot View Dns Record

Domain does not belong to you

Is there a config file I can edit somewhere to change it to a remote domain?
